Remembrance Day

On 11th November at 11am, Arley Primary held a 2 minute silence to remember the people who have died in the wars. The silence began and ended with The Last Post played throughout the learning street. All of the children showed respect during this time and teachers talked to the children about the importance of the silence. Fox and Woodpecker class had their special WOW day with a visit from a virtual WW1 soldier during the day and outside, the wheel was decorated to remember the names of the soldiers from the village.

Although the remembrance service at St. Wilfred's Church could not take place, Lily and Martha were able to take our very special wreath up to the cenotaph outside the church and paid their respects on behalf of Arley Primary School.
