Year 3 and 4 WOW Day at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve

On 18th September 2018 Years 3 and 4 went to Bran don Marsh Nature Reserve. We completed four activities: Food Chains, Mini Beast Mission, Mapping the Marsh and Den Building.

During Mapping the Marsh activity we used compass and co-ordinates to help us find our way around and locate different parts of the centre. On the Mini Beast Mission we used brushes and beakers to help us catch different mini beasts and decided whether they were herbivores or carnivores. In the Food Chain activity we learnt about primary and secondary producers and primary and secondary consumers. We acted out different food chains. Den Building meant we had to work in teams to create a den that had walls, a roof and was water proof.
